Low Fat Vegan Spaghetti Sauce

Description:
Plant based spaghetti sauce. Quick and easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
1 onion cut and sauteed in low fat tamari sauce
2 tablespoons tamari sauce
1 can (6 oz) of tomato paste
1 jar of pasta sauce (Prego Light Smart Traditional)
1 can of sliced stewed tomatoes (28 oz)
1 package of fresh mushrooms (8 oz)
dry oregano
dry basil
dry garlic
1 can of black beans
2 cups of fresh of frozen kale or spinach (optional)

Directions:
Cut and saute the onion in tamari sauce. Combine all the tomato products. Rinse both the mushrooms and the black beans add them to the sauce. Heat thoroughly for 7-10 minutes. Season to taste (adding oregano, basil and garlic). Add the kale or spinach if desired. Simmer for an additional 3 minutes.
